Appearances can be deceiving when observing electrical equipment with the naked eye. Thermal tracking tools have the ability to detect if equipment is live, operating within a desired temperature range, or over-loaded with the risk of becoming damaged. Infrared Thermography is a passive analysis of energized electrical equipment, meaning no physical interaction with the energized equipment must be made to perform the inspection. In case it does not require hands-on contact, our Energized Electrical Work certified technicians are able to step in and interact with equipment to complete the inspection.
Certified through ITC with the ASNT CP-189 standard, and compliant with NFPA 70B section 11.17, our comprehensive report of your equipment includes thermal images taken with FLIR infrared measurement tools. This survey will account for emissivity, materials affecting reflectivity, and other variables that will ensure an accurate temperature measurement of equipment is taken.
